Obituary

On June 24, 2026, the McCurdy family said farewell to a beloved companion as she crossed the threshold into Valhalla. For eighteen wonderful years, Pepper McCurdy filled her family's home with laughter, love, and more than a little mischief. A cherished 10th birthday gift for Laila, Pepper quickly became much more than a present; she became a beloved member of the family and a constant companion through the years.

Known affectionately as "Memmers," "Peppa," and "Pepper Depper," Pepper was, in her family's words, simply beautiful. She had a personality all her own, greeting each day with her unmistakable chatter- those unforgettable "mrrraaaacoooughrruu" sounds that only Pepper could make. She faithfully followed the kids to school, as if making sure they got there safely before beginning her own adventures.

Pepper found joy in life's simple pleasures: a good meal, exploring outdoors, and proudly bringing her latest "treasures" home from the outdoors. Her family couldn't help but laugh as they remembered her fondness for hunting baby rabbits...a mischievous habit they recalled with love and humor because it was so undeniably Pepper. She especially adored spending time with Bryce and loved roaming the Gladstone house and surrounding property, where she truly felt at home.

For eighteen years, Pepper was a steady, familiar presence in the McCurdy family's life. Through everyday routines and changing seasons, she offered comfort, companionship, and countless memories that will continue to bring smiles for years to come.

Though her paws no longer follow the family through the house or to the edge of the yard, Pepper's spirit remains woven into the story of those who loved her. She leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories, laughter, and unconditional love.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of her family: Laila, Indigo, Bryce, Orion, and Derrick.

May Valhalla welcome this little hunter with open arms.
